Soro focuses on tourism and social housing its 2017 Budget, which grows more than 11 percent

The budget for Housing and Rehabilitation will reach 31.2 million euros, explained Soro, indicating that in these last two years it has increased by 30 percent. The social management of the housing will include the management of the patrimonial houses and those granted by banking entities, the management of the Social Housing Housing Stock Exchange and will continue to try to eradicate the shanty towns in Zaragoza, Huesca, Jaca and Épila (100,000 euros ) and aid to tenants who are in a situation of vulnerability.

As a novelty, it will promote a housing rehabilitation program in rural areas, co-financed with FEDER funds and endowed with a total of 2,025,996 euros, since single-family homes, common in the

small municipalities, do not enter the state plan. The program for families with access difficulties to credit for energy efficiency is also new, providing a million euros subsidizing interest that will be used to raise loans for 35 million euros.

It also includes the provision of the State Housing Plan, extended this year, with a total amount, between both administrations, of 17,131,052 euros. Soro has indicated that the work will focus on “rehabilitation, with 10 million euros, and aid to tenants, with 7 million euros.”



The General Directorate of Mobility and Infrastructure this year has 9.3 million euros more, to reach 79.3 million. The conservation of roads is prioritized so that a total of 10.6 million euros is allocated in 2017, “to improve road safety and avoid the loss of heritage value of our roads”, Soro said. Soro stressed that most of the money allocated to transport will be to cover the tariff deficits of regular lines of passenger transport for general use that increases in 2017 and will reach 3,986,000 euros. 297,000 euros will be allocated to special lines, such as Teruel-Madrid, and those destined for Plaza, the Hospital de Barbastro and the Zaragoza airport.
